Biography

George “Kingie” King has enjoyed 35 years in showbiz starting in the hard northwest Night clubs. He quickly progressed to the top cabaret venues and theatres with his unique, inoffensive yet original style which has earned him the respect of his contemporaries both in the UK and abroad.
George is also popular on the cruise ships having entertained passengers on Princess, Cunard and P&O.

Much loved fellow comedian Les Dawson once described him as ‘one the most original comedians I have seen in a long, long time’. Whilst Bernard Manning one said of George “There are only two things stopping this lad from reaching the top – talent and ambition!”George’s TV credits include The Comedians, Live at Her Majesty’s, New Faces, Make me Laugh, Laughter Lounge (ITV) and he has also featured in BBC Radio shows and theatre tours and has appeared alongside greats such as Johnnie Mathis, Gene Pitney, Roy Orbison, Tom Jones, Lulu, Joe Longthorne, Shirley Bassey and Matt Monro to name but a few.
