“What is Ska?” Ska originated in Jamaica in the late 50s and was a precursor to Rocksteady and Reggae, mixing Caribbean Calypso with American Jazz and Blues. In the UK in the late 70s, Ska made a revival with bands like The Specials and Madness; mixing in a little Punk, it became known as 2Tone Ska.
Matt Jacksons’ tribute takes you back to the early 80s with songs from bands like The Beat, Bad Manners and UB40.
So get out your white socks, put your trilby hats on, and get ready for some “Top Ranking Skanking”!! It’s a show not to be missed.
